A. In Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013, players take on the role of a Planeswalker, a powerful mage who battles others for glory, knowledge, and conquest. Each Planeswalker has an arsenal of spells and creatures represented by virtual cards.

A. Yes. In Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013, all the cards in the Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 set are available by defeating opponents or through purchasing deck unlocks.

Q. What game modes are available?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 features a full single-player campaign game vs. AI opponents. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 also offers online multiplayer play with Two-Headed Giant; three- and four-player free-for-all play; and new Planechase mode, in which players battle while traveling through various planes using Planar and Phenomenon cards

Q. Is there trading in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 does not support trading; you can unlock all the cards in the game by simply playing or through purchasing deck unlocks.

Q. What are the multiplayer free-for-all rules?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 features free-for-all play, meaning the last player remaining wins. You can choose to play ranked games against random opponents or unranked games against your friends.

Q. How many players can play in a multiplayer game?

A. For Xbox, PSN, and Steam versions, up to four players can play online and up to four players can play in Two-Headed Giant or free-for-all games. The iPad version supports two-player matches with human players or you can play with three AI partners.

Q. Is Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 suitable for gamers unfamiliar with Magic: The Gathering or trading card games?

A. Yes! Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 is ideal for gamers regardless of their familiarity with Magic: The Gathering or trading card games. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 is an excellent way to learn how to play the Magic: The Gathering trading card game.

Q. What features are there for new players?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 includes a tutorial where you learn while you play, in-game hints, and even an in-game rulebook and glossary.

Q. Can I create new decks or modify my deck?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 allows players to customize their decks by removing cards from their original pool and adding in cards they have unlocked through game play. Land cards are added automatically by the AI.

Q. What cards are featured in the game?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 features select cards from throughout the history of Magic: The Gathering up through the Magic 2013 core set.

Q. Are there achievements or trophies and, if so, what type?

A. There are twenty achievements to be earned in the base game for XBLA and Steam®, fourteen trophies for PSN, and twenty achievements on iPad. Each achievement/trophy is earned in a different way, including ranked match wins and meeting unique victory conditions. The twenty achievements on Xbox LIVE® are worth a total of 200 Gamerscore. The twenty achievements on iPad are worth a total of 200 points. The fourteen trophies on PSN are worth up to 315 points.

Q. Is Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 challenging for the experienced players?

A. Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 has an advanced AI that can be adjusted to provide challenging game play for even skilled Magic: The Gathering players. Also, Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 has ranked head-to-head competitive play on all four platforms.

Q. There's a promotional six-card booster pack available for purchasing Duels of the Planeswalkers 2013 on XBLA, PSN, iPad, or Steam®. How do I determine if I'm eligible? Where can I get it?

A. There are three alternate art cards available: Primordial Hydra (Xbox), Vampire Nocturnus (PS3), and Serra Avatar (iPad & PC/Steam), each of which comes in a different six-Card Booster Pack.
