The Magic: The Gathering® Grand Prix tournament series is an international circuit of large-scale Qualifier tournaments featuring cash prizes and multiple invitations to Pro TourTM events.
Tournament Format And Schedule
The format for Grand Prix–Manila is RavnicaTM Block Limited, with day 2 Booster Draft. All DCITM Limited-format rules, Magic® Floor Rules, and all subsequent updates will be enforced.
Friday, March 17: Onsite registration is from 3:00 –8:00 P.M.
Saturday, March 18: Late registration from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. Tournament begins at 10:15 A.M. If less than 800 players participate in the event, the Top 64 players advance to competition on Sunday If 800 or more players participate, the top 128 advance to Sunday.
Sunday, March 19: The Top 64 (or 128) players begin play at 9:00 A.M.

The main tournament at Grand Prix–Manila is open to Magic players of all ages.

The Head Judge for Grand Prix–Manila will be Wearn Chong, Level 3 from Malaysia.

Tournament Structure
The structure for Grand Prix–Manila will be modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds), with the Top 64 players (or 128 if 800 or more players registered for the main event) advancing to the second day of competition for prizes and invitations.

Amateur Status
A player is considered to have amateur status if he or she has 0 lifetime pro points. If a player has ever been awarded any points from a Grand Prix, Pro Tour, or World Championship event, that player no longer has amateur status, may not participate in the Amateur Championship or Junior Super Series tournaments, and is not eligible for amateur awards at Grand Prix or other tournaments.

Tournament Divisions and Prizes
Grand Prix–Manila will feature the standard main tournament prize schedule, as well as a special Amateur division prize schedule. Players who have 0 lifetime Pro Points will be eligible for the Amateur prizes. The Amateur prizes will be paid to the highest-finishing amateur players in addition to any winnings those players receive from the main tournament prize schedule. All prizes are in U.S. dollars.

Pro Tour Invitations
The Top 16 players will each win an invitation to Pro Tour-Prague. Grand Prix invitations no longer pass down to previously uninvited players. The top 16 finishers will receive invitations even if one or more of those players already possesses an invitation.
- Tournament Byes (Byes are not cumulative throughout the season or year)
Byes will be given to players in the Grand Prix based on the following criteria:
Third-Round Byes
- Pro Player club level 3 and above.
- DCI players with a Limited rating of 2000 or higher. Byes do not pass down under any circumstances. Byes are based on DCI Constructed ratings published on November 23, 2005.
Second-Round Byes
- Pro Player club level 2
- DCI players with a Limited rating of 1900 or higher. Byes do not pass down under any circumstances. Byes are based on DCI Constructed ratings published on November 23, 2005.
First-Round Byes
- Pro Player club level 1
- DCI players with a Limited rating of 1800 or higher. Byes do not pass down under any circumstances. Byes are based on DCI Constructed ratings published on November 23, 2005.

Grand Prix–Manila Trials (Full List of Trials)
Friday, March 17: Trial starts as soon as 32 players is fill up. Maximum 32 players per Trial, single-elimination. Trial starts as soon as 32 players is fill up. The top finisher receives a third-round bye at Grand Prix–Manila and one display of GuildpactTM boosters. The format is Ravnica Block Sealed Deck. Cost: 900 peso, Registration Time: 12noon—6pm

Pro Tour– Prague Qualifier
Sunday, March 19: Registration closes at 9:45 A.M.; play begins at 10:00 A.M. The top finisher will received an invitation and a returned air ticket to Pro Tour - Prague. The format Ravnica Block Sealed Deck.. Cost: Peso 1000
