At this time the DCI Judge Certification Program would like to offer sponsorship opportunities to a number of judges for our 2004 US Nationals/ JSS Championship event. We are looking for hardworking judges who would like an opportunity to gain experience working with some of the best players and judges in the world. Working at an event like PT San Diego is also a great way to gain the experience needed to advance within the DCI Judge Certification Program.

The sponsorship application window for 2004 US Nationals/ JSS Championship begins on March 17th, and will close on Monday April 5th, 2004.

If you wish to apply for sponsorship for 2004 US Nationals/ JSS Championship , you must email the DCI Judge Certification Program at dcijudge@wizards.com. Please use "2004 US Nationals/ JSS Championship " in the subject line.

Primarily US resident judges will be selected for this event (though not exclusively).

This event requires more judges than most other events and may include working grinders on Thursday and other side-events, in addition to the main events.

Here is some useful information:

  • You will be provided a shared hotel room from June 16-18th departing June 20/21st, 2004.
  • You may be provided a flight or travel reimbursement to Kansas City, MO. Those who do not require sponsorship for their travel are more likely to be accepted.
  • Mandatory judge meeting is at 8 AM Friday, June 18/19th, at the main event stage. Some judges may be required for Thursday June17th. Your work schedule may include assignments other than the main event, and you will need to be available at the mandatory judge meeting and to work on Sunday June 21st.
  • There are no meals provided but a nominal daily stipend will be paid during the days of the event for snacks and beverages. (This stipend may take the form of vouchers that can be used at onsite concessions.)
