Live Coverage of 2003 Grand Prix New Orleans

TurboLand takes it! Zvi Mowshowitz took his trademark deck for another spin around the track, and wound up surprising everyone en route to his first ever Grand Prix title. It was an incredible Top 8. Non-standard decks were everywhere. Diego Ostrovich, all the way from the other end of the world, had Big Green. Mowshowitz had his beloved TurboLand. Morgan Douglass had Tinker, if you can believe it! Oath and Rock were nowhere to be seen, supplanted by the now-popular blue-green madness and Psychatog.

In the semis Harvey and Pustilnik squared off in a near-mirror, eventually emerging victorious, while Mowshowitz made quick work of Ostrovich's mono-green deck. Unsurprisingly, the finals between US Champion and Pro Tour Champion were a long, drawn out affair, but Mowshowitz was not to be denied. He dispatched Harvey in two games, to the applause of many spectators. Congratulations to Zvi Mowshowitz, Grand Prix - New Orleans Champion!
