Grand Prix Lyon broke the European record, but while a lot of the Pro's got to register their decks and then head back to the hotel for a couple of hours kip, some players had no byes and had to play right through from 11 to midnight tonight. One of those players was ten-year-old Renaud Libralesso.

Playing in only his second tournament Libralesso played a solid red-white deck with Pentavus, Solar Tide and a foil Altar of Shadows as the highlights. At 6-2 he had an outside chance of making the second day but alas it wasn't to be as he lost and finished up with an extremely credible 6-3 record.

Libralesso travelled down from the north of France. He travelled down by train to his cousins and from there I was a two hour drive. I asked him if he'd be competing in more Grand Prix but he said he'd be sticking to just the tournaments in France for the moment. At the moment he doesn't really follow the coverage.

He said he liked the Mirrodin set mainly because of the new artifacts and Equipment. Who knows, maybe this could be a name to watch in the future.
