The letter E!ight different decks, five countries represented, two first-time Pro Tour players…truly this Extended format has put together as varied a Top 8 as we've seen in recent memory. Here's a look at each player, in seed order:

What did you play and why? Affinity. I think there are a lot of sideboard cards against the deck and everyone thinks its bad as a result. Meddling Mage made all the difference.
Who built your deck? Guillaume Matignon, Guillaume Wago Tapa and me
What decks were you expecting to play against? Rock, Reanimator, combo
What do you think of your chances in the Top 8? Pretty good

What decks were you expecting to play against? Rock, Tog, Deep Dog, Reanimate, RDW
What do you think of your chances in the Top 8? If I win in the quarterfinals I should make the finals, but really, it's anyone's game on the big day.
Fun fact from the weekend: Stuart Wright will no longer be able to call me really lucky and bad at Magic!

What do you think of your chances in the Top 8? I'll win the quarters but lose the semis to a horrible matchup.

What did you play and why? Goblins. It's the only deck I didn't test and I didn't like anything else.

What decks were you expecting to play against? Rock, Goblins, Reanimator
What do you think of your chances in the Top 8? I really like my first matchup, but even if I lose, it'll be to Oiso, which I don't really mind.
Fun fact from the weekend: In both French Nationals and this tournament, I hated all the decks except for Goblins because I never tested Goblins. Yann gave me the deck the night before and my first round was my first game. Oh and I won French nationals.

What do you think of your chances in the Top 8? I want to win!!! But, I probably won't.
Fun fact from the weekend: I beat Cephalid Breakfast twice. It was too easy.
