06/27 Sargauth Level: Undermountain's third level is named for the River Sargauth, a slow, inky-water river that begins at one massive water-portal and ends in another. Download 72dpi JPG
06/20 The Storeroom Level: This level has fewer, larger rooms, and more walls, floors, and ceilings fashioned out of solid smooth stone. Rather than being finished by the Melairbode dwarves, it was a labyrinth of mining tunnels that wandered through the rock wherever the ore-veins they were following went, and large, rough caverns where the dwarves dumped the waste rock of their delvings. Download 72dpi JPG
06/14 The Dungeon Level: If you followed our Return to Undermountain article series (visit the archives here) or intend to run it before taking a jaunt into the updated Expedition to Undermountain, you could find this map quite useful. Download 72dpi JPG

05/23 Palace of Burning Ice: Nowhere is Tiamat's influence more overt than in her holy sites. The Draconic name of these places translates roughly as "Palaces of Burning Ice," but human sages refer to them as frozen calderas of the Dragon Queen. The name is certainly appropriate, because whatever other features might differ, these sites appear in only one sort of location -- the caldera of a volcano in a frozen mountain range. Download 72dpi JPG
05/16 Ancient Temple: Hidden in the depths of the ziggurat are ancient mystic texts so potent -- so revolutionary -- that they could well change the mortal races' understanding of magic. Every priesthood with an interest in magic and secrets has dispatched champions on a holy quest to locate and return with these ancient texts. Download 72dpi JPG
05/09 Ghostly Lair: Ghosts wait in a nearby complex of caves with their newly animated zombie minions. They make no effort to hide the tracks of the zombies, because they want Pelor's champions to come hunting. The ghosts and the zombies have, with a few exceptions, no set locations within the caves. They attack in the areas, and numbers, they think most tactically sound. Their precise numbers are left to the DM, in order to best challenge her particular party. Download 72dpi JPG
05/02 The Reliquary of Six: The Reliquary of Six is the central headquarters of the Disciples of Legend. Built over ancient ruins once occupied cultists of Juiblex called the Fleshless Brethren, it houses the Disciples' library and serves as home to some of its most devoted members. Download 72dpi JPG
Expedition to the Demonweb Pits
04/25 The Demonweb: Ah, the Demonweb. This is an ambassador's map -- is it completely accurate? Download 72dpi JPG
04/18 Hall of the Great Web: The black hemispherical room is the junction of several passages, and its floor is polished black marble marked with silver lines and shapes. Two sections of the wall are covered with silver-and-iron scrollwork that resembles webbing; these two meet at the center of the dome overhead. The floor wriggles slightly underfoot. Download 72dpi JPG
04/11 A Sacred Space: The moonlight shimmers on a pocket lake, about 100 feet across. At the center of the lake sits a small island, only about 20 feet in diameter. Whether you use this in the adventure for which it was created or for a spot of your own design, this space looks rather serene. Is it, though? Download 72dpi JPG
04/04 Bonus Map: Tower of Mystery: If you need a quick, untagged location, this map may serve you well! Put evil cultists, a few squads of enemy orcs, or friendly forces inside as you need them! Download 300dpi JPG
Download 150dpi JPG
Download 72dpi JPG
04/04 The Styx Oarsman: Located in Sigil's Lower Ward, the Styx Oarsman typifies the multiracial planar metropolis. The patrons run the gamut from good to evil, with the scales tipping toward the dark side of life. This inn caters to a mostly humanoid crowd. Download 72dpi JPG
Dungeonscape and Secrets of Sarlona
02/28 Sarlona: As befitting the title Secrets of Sarlona, we present the map for it. Sarlona is a land of ancient secrets and present darkness. Four nations and a dozen races stand as the end result of fifteen hundred years of conflict, intrigue, and repression. Despite its history and its status as the birthplace of humans, Sarlona remains mysterious to Khorvairians. Download 72dpi JPG
02/21 Riedra: Befitting a nation that extends across a continent, Riedra features a vast array of landscapes and climes. All the Inspired's teachings about unity cannot erase geography. As such, the current Riedran provinces map closely to some of Sarlona's former nations. Download 72dpi JPG
02/14 Adar: Adar is as a land plucked from some other realm. Among the mountains that spring from southern Sarlona, manifestations of other worlds and the natural results of such interference conspire to produce a forbidding environment. Yet, amid unforgiving peaks and between terrible storms, life thrives and evolves. Download 72dpi JPG
02/07 Wartower Wardens Guildhall: This guildhall from Dungeonscape can serve its purpose as stated, or you can adapt it for more insidious purposes. Download 72dpi JPG
Complete Scoundrel
01/31 Meeting House: This map could serve as a meeting house for an organization or guild, or it could be an inn in a city or large town. Download 300dpi JPG
Download 150dpi JPG
Download 72dpi JPG
01/24 Rebel Camp in Ruined Temple: This map shows a rebel encampment in a buried, ruined temple. Download 72dpi JPG
01/17 Tradegate: This map shows the gate town of Tradegate on the Outlands. Each of the town's five districts has two gates. Download 72dpi JPG
01/10 The Bottle and Blade Speakeasy: This map shows a small, two-story inn with a gambling den and fighting pit in its basement. Download 72dpi JPG
01/03 Sewer Pipe Black Market: This map shows a bustling underground black market in a latge, functioning sewer pipe. Several "stores" have been carved out of the stone walls, boards make ramshakle bridges, a long boat floats in the muck, as do numerous floating crates packed with goods. Barrels, mats, and tables show off wares along the crowded walkways. A partially collapsed and disused side pipe serves as a warehouse. Download 72dpi JPG
Fiendish Codex II
12/27 Caveside Building: This single-level untagged building leads directly into rough-hewn stone. Perhaps it serves as a small seaside temple or a lordling's mountainside getaway. Download 300dpi JPG
Download150dpi JPG
Download 72dpi JPG
12/20 Two-Story Hall: This untagged location could serve as a town hall or you can adjust it easily to suit some other purpose. Download 300dpi JPG
Download150dpi JPG
Download 72dpi JPG
12/20 Nessus: This large-scale overview map depicts the confusing series of gorges and canyons intersecting the surface of the hellish layer of Nargus. Download 72dpi JPG
12/13 Lakes of Bile: This series of reeking lakes and pools produces a variety of potent poisons and acids, which are bottled for export by a small army of nupperibos and spinagons. The devils running this industry object violently to intruders attempting to filch their wares. Toxic fumes rise from the churning pools, mixing to unpredictable effect. Download 72dpi JPG
12/06 The Maggot Pit: Because it is the closest to the other planes, this is the most famous of Hell's many facilities for converting the shriven souls of the damned into wretched lemures. A mammoth crater, filled with ooze and writhing white worms, the Maggot Pit radiates almost an almost palpable sense of evil and corruption. Download 72dpi JPG
Cityscape and More
11/29 Sutulak: Sutulak resembles a military community in general layout. The streets are wide, albeit less well kept, to allow for horses and carts to carry slaves to and from the markets. While the main avenues are straight and easily navigated, the majority of the city's smaller streets are winding and confusing, making it difficult for newly captured slaves to find their way out if they should escape their restraints. Download 72dpi JPG
11/22 Underground or Cave System (Bonus Map): Use this system of underground (or cave) passages in your game, and add a few fun challenges. The dank atmosphere and shadowy rooms that your characters must traverse might feature drow, or perhaps mind flayers have taken this complex over? Download 300dpi JPG
Download150dpi JPG
Download 72dpi JPG
11/22 Blackwall: Blackwall was built with defensive concerns in mind. The city streets are a literal maze of twists and turns, a manmade cobweb of avenues and alleyways. For an army of intruders the bewildering streets are as effective a defense as any curtain wall. Download 72dpi JPG
11/15 Kaddastrei: Kaddastrei is the grand capital of Kaddas, the last remnant of an ancient empire and still a rich and powerful nation. Many state capitals follow the models of military cities or trading hubs (as presented earlier), but Kaddastrei is a city built for no other purpose than to be its nation's capital. Download 72dpi JPG
11/08 Dragonport: Named for the great dragon turtle that once dwelled in the bay, Dragonport has grown from a small village with a single pier into one of the most vital ports on its coast. A constant flux of cargo travels to and from its many docks. Dragonport benefits less from this activity than does a trading city such as Four Winds, however: It is designed to facilitate passage of goods, not to encourage local business. Download 72dpi JPG
11/01 Four Winds: Four Winds stands at the crossroads of two major highways that enable trade and travel between four great nations. The city exists for commerce, and it has grown to its current size as the literal center of its economic region. The city operates under a traditional, aristocratic government that is supported by all four of the nearby kingdoms, each of which is pleased to see the nobility in charge of so vital a mercantile center. Download 72dpi JPG
Castle Ravenloft and Complete Mage
10/25 Boccob's Reading Room: The reading room usually forms either inside an abandoned structure or within an area of ruins, but it can also be in a cave or other natural setting. The only unusual features of the site are a large, comfortable chair and a reading lamp, which may or may not seem very out of place in the setting. Any intelligent creature entering the area feels that some new arcane secret waits here, waiting to be learned. Download 72dpi JPG
10/18 Eternal Vortex: An eternal vortex looks like whirlpool of elemental force. Fire, ice, acid, and bolts of raw electricity swirl down toward its center in an endless dance, each retaining its own character even in contact with the other forces. Download 72dpi JPG
10/11 Village of Barovia: This map shows the village of Barovia, which could become a great handout after the player characters have had a chance to wander the area (and deal with any challenges). Download 72dpi JPG
10/04 The Lands of Barovia: This map depicts the countryside surrounding Castle Ravenloft and the village of Barovia, showing those sites in relationship to each other and a few other key sites in the wilderness. Download 72dpi JPG
Dragon Magic and Faiths of Eberron
09/27 Lost Tomb of Malkys: The pages of Dragon Magic may reveal a lot of draconic knowledge, but it might also have a few linked bits of lost lore, such as this map of the Lost Tomb of Malkys. Download 72dpi JPG
09/27 Dragon Library: The high ceiling and broad halls of this library are eerily silent, though the slightest noise echoes off stone walls. If you're in need of a library map, this one can serve you well. Download 72dpi JPG
09/20 Dragon Lair: Though this is a natural cave, it is obvious that an intelligent crafter has worked the rough rock into a more functional or pleasing form. Use this cavernous map as intended or populate it with your own creatures and challenges. Download 72dpi JPG
09/13 Shrine of the Serpent: Many thousands of years ago, a cult dedicated to the worship of the mighty couatls carved a combination community and shrine into the side of a large hill. This multilevel map could provide you with some challenging set-ups for your encounters. Download 72dpi JPG
09/06 Cult of Life Safehouse: Those who take on the thief of life prestige class operate in the greatest secrecy, and they need safe places to practice their arts. This safe house in Karrlakton, Karrnath, belongs to Randall Aleazar d'Deneith. Though the Cult of Life makes this place a safehouse, you could use this map in a lot of other ways. Download 72dpi JPG
Dragons of Faerun
08/29 Gnawbones Base: Take a look at the basement headquarters for the Gnawbones gang in the castle district of Waterdeep. The main entrance to the clubhouse is through the coatroom on the first floor of the Wyrmbones Inn. The small complex consists of four areas and three tunnels. Download 72dpi JPG
08/22 The Altar of Scales: This map depicts a fairly large temple complex of Tiamat, under the run-down part of Unthalass. Download 72dpi JPG
08/15 Dragonback Mountain: Alasklerbanbastos lairs in the depths of Dragonback Mountain (the northernmost peak of the Riders to the Sky Mountains) on the border of Chessenta, Threskel, and Unther. He governs in secret from the depths of a great web of twisting lava tubes and slave-dug tunnels that weave through the heart of the ancient volcano. The walls, floors, and ceilings of his lair are embedded with hundreds of dragon bones. Download 72dpi JPG
08/08 The Great Palace of the Sceptenar: The alabaster citadel sits atop a low hill in the shadow of the now-abandoned Great Temple of Gilgeam. A Colossal great red wyrm had the Great Palace built to his specifications when he last ruled Chessenta, and its sprawling galleries easily accommodate the great wyrm's tremendous bulk. Download 72dpi JPG
08/01 Antasillix's Lair: In the ruined quarter of Unthalass, Antasillix has chosen a mostly intact bathhouse as his lair. He waits there, playing in the pools and hunting the vagrants nearby, until called by Tiamat to defend the nearby pit of many colors. Download 72dpi JPG
Monster Manual IV & Against the Giants
07/25 Hall of the Fire Giant King (Third Level): The final level of the hall is rougher than the others, which means it'd make a suitable dungeon crawl with other creatures as the focus should you prefer. Download 72dpi JPG
07/18 Hall of the Fire Giant King (Second Level): Add a level to your fun with this detailed map. Download 72dpi JPG
07/11 Hall of the Fire Giant King (Entrance Level): The entrance level to the hall can serve as intended or you can adjust it for use in other ways, of course! Download 72dpi JPG
07/04 Blackspawn Raider Encampment: The Monster Manual IV entry for the spawn of Tiamat known as Blackspawn raiders has a handy map you can use. Download 72dpi JPG
Fiendish Codex I & Against the Giants
06/27 Frost Giant Stronghold - Lower Level: This floorplan can serve you as originally intended, or you could make it over into a residence for a noble in your campaign. Just keep in mind the scale. Download 72dpi JPG
06/20 Frost Giant Stronghold - Upper Level: As if one level isn't enough, you have another one if you wish. Perhaps those former adventurers are having problems with creatures from the lower levels? Download 72dpi JPG
06/13 Shendilavri: This romantic coastline may provide you with the perfect setting for a bit of adventure -- where demons lurk unnoticed until hearty adventurers come along. Download 72dpi JPG
06/06 The Demonweb: Ah, the infamous Demonweb of the spider goddess Lolth. The demonweb consists of marble walkways surrounded by a tube of sticky spiderwebs. Here and there, the web has absorbed sites from other planes, and several doors lead from the walls of the Demonweb to alternate Material Plane worlds. The space beyond the Demonweb pathways is a churning grayish maelstrom. Download 72dpi JPG
Player's Handbook II & Against the Giants
05/30 Area Map: Are these ruins? Or do people still live in the area? Or has the area become the home to some terrible force? Take a look at the map and decide for yourself! Download 72dpi JPG
05/23 Hill Giant Stronghold - Dungeon Level: Below the main level of the hill giant stronghold is the dungeon. Download 72dpi JPG
05/16 Hill Giant Stronghold - Upper Level: This floorplan can serve you as originally intended, or you could make it over into a residence for a noble in your campaign. Just keep in mind the scale. Download 72dpi JPG
05/09 The Necrotic Cradle: This location, as described in the text, is helpful for rebuilding characters who have necromantic tendencies, as well as some other options. However, you can use this site in a more ominous manner. Download 72dpi JPG
05/02 Gates of Dawn: The Player's Handbook II describes this location as one that allows players to rebuild divine or fey characters, among others.Feel free to use it as you wish, though. Download 72dpi JPG

04/19 Crystal Node: This is a map of a multi-level cavern containing a crystal node. The earth gives up its secrets guardedly, or not at all. Some believe that the veins of mineral running through the miles of strata below are manifestations of the earth's blood. If so, the veins of pure mineral are the world's nerves -- nerves that are part of a planetary consciousness that ticks over one thought an epoch. In rare instances, intersections of pure crystal veins create a crystal node within a cavernous grotto. These nodes are lit with the slow trickle of psionic power swirling through the earth itself in unknowable telluric currents. Such grottos are called crystal nodes. Download 72dpi JPG
04/12 The Lodge Luminous: This map shows a sample stone lodge for members of the Lodge Luminous. The Lodge Luminous believes in the Psychic Sun, a manifestation of the psionic power within everyone. Download 72dpi JPG
04/05 Psigate: This is a map for the Psigate psionic location. A welter of ancient corridors in a ruin gives way to a clear space, contained within a circle of weathered obelisks. Some obelisks stand upright, some are partially broken or leaning, and some are completely fallen over. At one time, arches connected every standing stone in a great circle, but time has toppled all but one arch. Three clear crystals remain set in the span of the remaining stone arch. Cathedral of Hope and Doom
05/27Top Floor: At the third floor, one is above the flying buttresses that have blocked the line of sight on the other floors. This floor is dominated by small rooms typically used as residences for the highest ranking clerics. It's also used for things that are best kept the farthest out of reach from visitors below and can house the most powerful artifacts because this floor sees the least amount of traffic and is the hardest to access, and thus is the safest. 12/12 Pirate Roost: Hidden away deep inside a cave is a small village that perches on docks, which themselves cling to a cave wall. Pirates come to rest and repair their ships here, or maybe they dock just to spend some time at the local tavern and swap a few tall tales. The folds of the cavern twist and turn before you can even get to the village. Explore the depths inside to find the remains of old shipwrecks that may have treasure hidden within them. Avoid the creatures who live here, though, or you may find yourself in a watery grave. Download 157k JPG
12/05 Bandit Cave: In this hideout of a group of thieves tucked away deep in caves on the edge of town, a treasure trove of goods lies hidden. Rumor has it that several generations of bandits have stashed stolen goods in the cave. Though it isn't an easy task getting in to them, those who do have the chance to advance themselves financially. Beware of ambushes and traps set by the bandit prince. Download 134k JPG
11/28 The Lairs: The final level is comprised of two large open areas that could be used as lairs for any type of beast. Smaller rooms could hold more creatures, NPCs, or be storerooms for treasure. Is that inset semicircle in the southernmost large room mask a secret door? You decide. Download 160k JPG
11/21 The Gauntlet: Descend to this floor and a long hall flanked with waiting danger lies before you. Side halls lead to lairs on either side of the main hall. The potential for an ambush is great, so adventurers must watch their backs at all times. Download 162k JPG
11/14 Dropped into the Middle: The entrance is in the middle of this dungeon floor. Two passage arms sweep out from the dungeon's heart, then on branches and branches again. Which way to start? Either will surely bring danger. Download 169k JPG
11/04 The Entrance: After descending a rickety ladder, you precede into a variety of hallways and medium-sized rooms, perfect for random encounters. A dead end could be used as an ambush point, and secret doors keep clueless intruders out. Download 162k JPG

06/27 Arenan Mortale: A dark and dismal place this is. It was once used for final judgment of the worst criminals. Instead of execution, the guilty ones who were brought here would fight each other until a winner remained. The losers would be displayed for all to see, and the winner would remain to fight until defeated. A few lucky individuals remain held captive in the small tower next to the main island. Download 77k JPG
