Don't just read about D&D's latest news and announcements -- listen to them as well! And where better to find inside information than from the very halls of Wizards of the Coast? Presenting Episode 17: Tell Me About Your Character!
In this episode, Steve Winter discusses the 4th Edition fighter he’s been playtesting, while Logan Bonner introduces Dessen: who might well be the only 4th Edition gnome warlock currently being played, anywhere!

A Fighter and a Warlock Walk into a Tavern...
09:00: Logan Bonner introduces Dessen, his gnome warlock, and Steve Winter introduces Jeg the Gruff, his human fighter (named in honor of Jeff Grubbb).
13:20: Dave’s custom gnome includes Speak to Burrowing Creatures: The creature must be within earshot, this ability doesn’t confer understanding on either creature’s behalf.
17:50: The purple worm exists as a solo monster; for a look at another solo monster, the beholder, watch his interview On the Set of 4th Edition.
Harrison Bergeron: a great short story written by Kurt Vonnegot. “The year was 2081, and everyone was finally equal.”
- If Steve could change one thing about the fighter, what would it be: A few more points of Armor Class.
- If Logan could change one thing about the warlock: Fixing bonus damage to make it more reliable; for his own warlock personally, he would also like to improve the Crown of Madness ability.
We’ll see if these changes are implemented, as the classes continue their development.... As always, thanks for listening, and roll those 20s!
