Come Game with Us!
Wizards of the Coast attends a number of gaming conventions each year and sponsors several others. At these events, players have a wide choice of D&D play opportunities, some of which are unique to the convention experience. In addition, conventions are a great place to try new games, meet new gamers, and possibly run into a gaming celebrity!
D&D Experience
Wizards of the Coast’s officially-sponsored all-D&D show is D&D Experience. Held in January or February each year, the show gives you exclusive sneak peeks, amazing access to Wizards D&D staff members, and in-game previews of the hottest D&D products months before their release! Visit the D&D Experience website for more information.
Attended, Sponsored, and Supported Conventions
Wizards of the Coast covers conventions at three levels: attended, sponsored, and supported. Listed below is a quick breakdown of each category. For information on what shows we attend and sponsor, visit our Conventions list.
-
Attended conventions are those where Wizards of the Coast staffs an exhibit booth and usually is a major sponsor of the show. Gen Con Indy and Penny Arcade Expo are examples of these shows. Expect plenty of Wizards staff and special content at these events.
-
Sponsored conventions are those where Wizards of the Coast sponsors gaming and provides resources to the D&D organizer running official games. Origins is an example of this type of show. There is usually a large amount of special content at these events, and some Wizards staff may be present.
-
Supported conventions are those where Wizards of the Coast provides some type of support, such as special content, at the request of the convention organizer. Any convention organizer can request support from Wizards of the Coast – simply visit our Conventions list for more information!
